The Sideline Photographer | What to Expect

Making an investment is a decision not to be taken lightly.  Your memories are a treasure & should be regarded as such, so for a reasonable and competitive price, you can have portraits taken that will last you a lifetime.

Before You Book

It's always a good idea to do a little research before choosing someone for the job. I'd love to exchange a few emails, chat on the phone, or meet for a cup of coffee so we can discuss what you're looking for and what I offer.

Booking Your Session

So you've seen my work, contacted me, and decided you want me as your photographer (Yay! You have no idea how giddy I get each time a new client chooses me!), but now what? To officially book your session, I do require a non-refundable deposit and a signed contract to reserve your session date. Once I receive those two things, I will mark  your session date on my schedule.

Session Planning

Unless I've gotten all the details of what your looking for in your session through prior communication, I will likely send you a questionnaire. My goal is to try to understand any sort of theme, style, colors, etc. that you want incorporated into your art. Because most of my clients intend on using their portraits to decorate their home, I would be more than happy to come check out your space before your session. This is not necessary, but can be very helpful when it comes to planning.

Your Session

This portion is pretty simple; you show up happy and smile and laugh while I click away. I might even throw in a few corny jokes here and there (I truly believe that laughs make the best smiles!). At the end of your session, we will schedule a follow up reveal session to take place a 1-3 weeks after your session. In the meantime, and with your permission, I will post a sneak peek or two on social media.

 Reveal Session

Ah, the moment you've been waiting for! After I've finished editing the images from your session, we will meet for your reveal session. During the reveal, you will be able to see your edited images.  You are more than welcome to bring guests and decision makers to the reveal (spouses, grandparents, etc.). At the end of your reveal session you will place an order for your printed art.
